The Monster Jam Dirtfest is featured as party of the day today on Catch My Party! Could my week POSSIBLY get any better??! I think not:) Go visit the pictures of this seriously jammin' & dirty party:)

Captain's Log:
Tuesday morning...Both kids at school..cleaning up the aftermath of three months of "party stuff" all around the house:) What a whirlwind of fun, stress and glitter:) At least I have a year to recover!
Monster Jam Dirtfest is up for your viewing pleasure, HERE.
In other exciting news, Super Grover Rave is featured as Party of the Day on Catch My Party, HERE.
Moving on to lots of exciting events for other people's kids..LOL! Jordan's Caps for Sale 1st, Baby Sal's Down on the Farm 1st, Isabella's Magical Harry Potter 7th, Jacob's Pirate Palooza 1st.....
Also will be reopening my shop soon..stay tuned...surprises in store.
Some interesting trivia about the dirtfest:
-Bouncy house did not show up yesterday. It was a bad sitcom mix-up. Our bouncy on the wrong truck at the wrong time. It arrived today, right before the party. Stress beyond.
-It did rain. I must have checked weather.com five hundred times in the past day alone. We had a few showers with big, fat drops at times, but we all survived it. Not a dreamy day weatherwise, but it could have been way worse. NY weather is the lamest.
-My son woke up at 6:00am and could not wait for party time to arrive. He was on cloud nine the entire day. He said it was "awesome" Enough said:)
Hope to post the pics soons. Now, I think I am going to dig into some of the leftover Panera and call it an interesting and amazing day:)
Some serious party prep going on over here...Trying not to freak out over the weather forecast. Thinking happy thoughts....
Some sneaky peeky pics of the kid favor tags. Hope none of those kids read my blog and ruin the surprise..LOL!
I cut chipboard, embellished with assorted wheel and gear brads and added some tough guy text. And, yes, I whipped out the old school label maker. My wrist aches from all the turning of the wheel and squeezing each letter, but I would do anything for my boy's party...I even had to use the IRON this week..Egads! LOL! Break's ova. Back to work...
Lame, lousy morning...Afternoon is seriously perking up though....Got a package in the mail from my baby sis. She sent me some beyond fab and quite elusive purple ink pens...We have been on the hunt for weeks..I know, insane-but totally true- and writing in purple ink just makes life way better:)
Second sweet surprise came in the form of a super shout out on a fabulous event planning blog. Love to get surprises like that! Brittany, of Grey Grey Designs, posted an inspiration board for a Monster Truck themed birthday party and mentioned my upcoming Dirtfest:) Thanks a million Brittany! If you are not following Grey Grey Designs-you should be. Check out the amazing Retro Rocket par-tay she threw for her little Greyson's 2nd. My kind of party mama!
Back to the dirty little trucks and tires....Party is in 6 days!!!
Busy beaver over here...Glitter flying everywhere...Finishing up some very special client orders and then I will be in total Monster Jam Manic Mode...
Received an amazing little package in the mail today...So excited about it...Not sure how I stumbled upon Lucky Star Lane, but I am over the moon that I did. I worked with Erin to design this flippin' sweet corsage for the G Mama to wear at her guy's little Dirtfest. Erin was just an all around dreamy chick to work with. She listened to what I wanted and was able to design exactly what I wished for. Worked all the colors I requested into this corsage and she even was able to hunt and track me down some Monster Truck fabric to add in the mix....PERFECTION in a corsage.
Seriously, you need one of these. Perfect, original accessory for Party Mamas, Grandmothers, Moms-to-Be-anyone would love this.
Unique, excellent quality, way reasonably priced and just dreamy to work with. Thanks Lucky Star Lane. You girls ROCK!
Griffin's Monster Jam is seriously right around the corner...I am working on quite a few different orders and projects as well. Juggling to say the least, but so much adventure and fun! I whipped up this rockin' wreath to greet the guests at the Monster Jam Dirtfest. I will be using black and white harlequin and checkerboard accents throughout the party. I was totally inspired by a tutorial on The Long Thread, you can see here. I modified a little and used two different solid colored ribbon and one patterned ribbon. I topped it off with a butch little tire for the "men."
Super easy project, BUT, do as I say and not as I do..DO NOT use satin ribbon....I bought the satin ribbon in black and white and had all these dreamy, romantic notions about how gorgeous it would look. The harlequin ribbon is a little thinner width and grosgrain...Satin ribbon is a tough nut, my friends...It frays, I cut it, it frays again. I am not going to go through the torture of sealing the ends of these ribbons, so I will be giving this wreath little haircuts from now until May 23rd, cutting off the fraying fuzz..Please make one, and use grosgrain!
I think this wreath is the perfect way to welcome our guests to the Crush Fest....A combination of beauty and butch. I'm just a purple lovin' party Mama trying to balance it all:)
