On my radar: Ordered Chaos.

I am starting a shiny new series on my blog called "On my Radar." Basically, I will be featuring stuff and ideas that I think are devastatingly hip and happening:)

I adore all things deliberately messy and chaotic. I love mismatched. I get weak in the knees over mixed mediums, textures and materials. I love the challenge of making all that chaos a cohesive work of extraordinary and original beauty.

Featured today: Chaotic and Charming backdrop inspiration.

Black and white with vibrant color accents.
Paper chains, Sunday Comics paper chains, paper flowers,
tulle poms create a crazy, but gorgeous backdrop.

Stunningly beautiful tissue pom and
paper chain presentation.

Tissue poms, rosettes and inspirational words
make for a unique, astounding and whimsical display.

Tissue poms, paper lanterns and
crepe paper streamers make for
some serious charm.

Michelle is the mastermind behind that blog and she offers awesome entertaining tips for, well, everyday celebrations:) I actually first saw the balloon wreath that I made for the Monster Jam on her site-gave me the inspiration and idea to make my own. If you are not up to making one, just visit her etsy shop and she'll whip you up some cuteness in no time flat...Thanks for the Marvelous Monster Jam feature, Michelle...You made my Tuesday for sure:)

monster jam is history.

sneak peek shot of the dessert table
Griffin loves red, orange and pink:) So sweet.

black/white checkerboard pattern, red, orange,
blue, yellow, and a touch of pink used throughout.
kraft paper, twine as my "dirt" colors.

Some interesting trivia about the dirtfest:

-Bouncy house did not show up yesterday. It was a bad sitcom mix-up. Our bouncy on the wrong truck at the wrong time. It arrived today, right before the party. Stress beyond.

-It did rain. I must have checked weather.com five hundred times in the past day alone. We had a few showers with big, fat drops at times, but we all survived it. Not a dreamy day weatherwise, but it could have been way worse. NY weather is the lamest.

-My son woke up at 6:00am and could not wait for party time to arrive. He was on cloud nine the entire day. He said it was "awesome" Enough said:)

Hope to post the pics soons. Now, I think I am going to dig into some of the leftover Panera and call it an interesting and amazing day:)
